Research

In fiscal year 2006-2007, the faculty attracted $138 million in research funding from government and private sources. The University's top sources of research funds include the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense and Energy, NASA, the Department of Education, and a number of private, corporate, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, Brown's faculty attracts support in the form of Fulbright scholarships and MacArthur, Guggenheim, and National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships.
