Study Skills Workshops

Studying efficiently and effectively is a crucial skill for all students.  The most successful students are the ones who have found the study styles that work the best for them.  The mission of the Study Skills Corps (SSC) is to help students discover and hone the study skills that fit their learning styles and that further their academic goals. Study Skills Corps staff are Brown students who have been trained in facilitation and study skills development.  Under the supervision of the Curricular Resource Center, the SSC staff offer free, 50-minute workshops on reading strategies, note-taking, time management, and test preparation.

These workshops are available to any group of students (minimum of three) affiliated with the Brown community.  Workshops are offered on an on-call request basis throughout the semester until the first day of the final examination period.  For more information about workshops, contact the CRC at 863-2473 or drop by the J Walter Wilson Building, #312.
